Especailly when this implementation within dropbox would be so simple. I don't want to use songspace, soundcloud, Reprtoir, Disco.ac, or any others. I totally understand the desire not to make a fully functioning media player but at least, AT LEAST, create an option to automatically go to the next media file within a folder for **bleep**s sake. When managing artists we need to be able to send out private links that include any variable of songs and sometimes video file. However, it sucks to have to use another platform for what should be extremely simple. PLUS dropbox has the most simple interface. Dropbox is great for practically 90% of our needs because everything is easily storable, integrated, and shareable. We need a space to store creative catalog and legal documents acrossed multiple clients. Having had this thought for a while I thought it was time to share it as user feedback.įor the music industry professionals, specificially in the management space, it's infuruating to have to use three or more platforms. writers could gather their best work and share with a single link, a film maker could build a show-real and use dropbox to share, photographers could create digital galleries viewable in a single click and a songwriter like myself can use it to assemble the latest mixes of a project or present their best work in a single click. The more comprehensive implementation would see Dropbox Galleries become a way for photographers, film makers and artists to present their work, with links becoming webpages showcasing their work direct from their folders, with positive association and highvisibility brand placement Dropbox's payoff.Ĭreating a simple playlist feature could really support creatives. It could also be a simple 'play all files in this folder' option, to break up that clunkiness when looking to present a body of work. Finally musicians can set up a range of playlists that present emerging or best work in a user focused way, both to share digitally and in office environments.ĭelivery: Minimal viable implementation could see the creation of playlists within the App and website so users can build bodies of work and share with a single link. and they can update and edit and move around so that same link continues to showcase their current work. poets and writers could gather they best works together and share with a single link, photographers could create a selection of digital galleries and share each one as viewable in a single click, film makers could share their showreel as a single link that plays through a selection of short video clips. I use GMass to get around triggering e-mail spam filters, because BCCing 200 DJs will trigger that. GMass will track e-mail opens and link clicks. I usually send a quick generic 'hiya' text and a soundcloud/dropbox link of my tunes. Make sure the content you are uploading is your own, otherwise it may be removed by the cloud service due to copyright infringement.Proposal: We make Dropbox more friendly to showcasing creative work. Its a chrome extension for e-mail lists and its very easy to use. Then, you can navigate through the folders and type in a name for your file, and click on 'upload'. You can then choose whether to save what you have as a Wavepad project or as an audio file. Using 'Upload File to Cloud Service.' option under the file menu, you can choose any of the above cloud services. The audio files will be uploaded under the 'Apps\WavePad' folder in your Dropbox home. Audio files can be stored on any of the mentioned platforms while project files can only be stored on Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive. WavePad allows you to save your audio files and WavePad projects to different cloud services including Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive and SoundCloud. It should be noted that Dropbox only allows you to use the 'Apps\WavePad' folder with WavePad. After authenticating with your account, you will be able to navigate through the folders to select the desired file and open it in WavePad. Using 'Download file from Cloud Service.' option under the 'File' menu of WavePad, you can choose one of the above cloud services. To set up this option, you need to have an existing Dropbox, SoundCloud, Microsoft, or Google account. SoundCloud allows users to upload 3 hours of audio for free, but additional allowance is available for a monthly or annual fee. SoundCloud is an online Audio distribution and streaming platform. For Dropbox the first 2 GB, for OneDrive the first 5 GB and for Google Drive the first 15 GB of storage are free, but additional storage packages are available for a monthly fee. Dropbox, OneDrive and Google Drive are cloud-based storage services that let you upload, store, access and share your files from anywhere. WavePad allows you to open files from Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive or SoundCloud.

The only way to access the secure password is to bring up the edit dialog, and cut/paste. However, after accepting a fingerprint the dialog disappears, but the secure item is not unlocked. When a pw is required for a secure item, the fingerprint request dialog does appear. Now, LP no longer prompts for a fingerprint to log in to LP, so I must type my password. LP used to prompt for a fingerprint to sign into LP (in Firefox), and then reprompt for a fingerprint for password protected items. It used be that this reader worked well in LP. No problems with Windows Hello in Windows Enterprise 20H2. I am so glad to see this problem reported by someone else! Absolutely right - broken for 4 months now. And they seem to be very transparent about tracking, collaborations with other processing, and their servers are only in 5-eyes countries. The fact that Bitwarden is open source is a big plus, in my opinion, for this kind of software. I've emailed Bitwarden support about this. But that doesn't seem to happen currently, even with the browser integration enabled in the desktop app. (I use both Chrome and Firefox browsers.) A workaround for that ought to be that if you unlock in Chrome or the desktop application, it should automatically unlock in Firefox and any other browsers. The only one issue for now is that they don't have the fingerprint login capability for the Firefox extension, pending changes to/for Firefox's native messaging mechanism. Good user interface and vault timeouts seems to work properly I always had some quirkiness with the latter on LastPass. You just have to export the logins and form fills separately. And that's a big worry with a security product as critically important as this. (Frankly, I think that's entirely appropriate for them or any other similar product to do.) It really questions the caliber of their development team that they can't make a previously working feature work again when the problem is entirely in their own code. This failure of LastPass should concern people more than their current change in policy to require Premium for syncing across devices, etc. But obviously, I'm not going to get this kind of thing from a 3rd party source. I presume an earlier version of the Chrome extension would work as well, except the only place that seems to have it is. I have communicated many times to tech support and they just give me boilerplate responses or a workaround that doesn't work.įor Firefox, you can rollback to version 4.58.0.4 (available directly from Mozilla) and it will work again. (My vault key is 64 bytes long!) So, it's been very frustrating and annoying that this feature has been broken since December 2020 in their Chrome and Firefox extensions in Windows 10. I subscribe to the Premium service because I want the fingerprint login capability. I have been a very happy LastPass user for some time. The same fingerprints you use for Windows Hello will be used for LastPass and other applications that use the Windows Biometric Framework.Lastpass fingerprint login has been broken now for 3 months in Chrome and Firefox and they don't seem to have a clue about how to fix it. On Windows 10, head to Settings > Accounts > Sign-in Options and add fingerprints under the Windows Hello section. If you skip this step, LastPass will ask you to enroll a fingerprint using your fingerprint reader’s software before it can enable fingerprint reader support. You’ll need to set up your fingerprint reader and enroll a fingerprint before this will work. Run the installer first or you won’t be able to enable this feature. Even if you already have the standard LastPass browser extensions installed, the installer available from the LastPass website includes additional software that enables fingerprint reading and other advanced features, like sharing your login state between different web browsers so you only have to sign in-or out-once per session.
